Walking on your shingle or tile roof and using a pressure washer to rinse with low pressure is
not how to correctly clean your roof. Peerless Pressure utilizes pumps specifically for roof cleaning. We do not use a pressure washer to clean your roof. This resilient algae is being fed by the organic materials in your roof’s composition; this coupled with Florida’s wet climate, gives you the ingredients for a garden on your roof. Once the organic materials are gone, so are the granules that reflect the heat; or, in a tile roof case, the color and glaze. So what your roof needs is a cleaning or maintenance process that is not harmful during the cleaning process to stop this algae from eating your roof. As you can now see, when you hire a cleaning company to clean your roof you must make sure they are roof cleaning professionals. An ignorant pressure washer will actually speed up the aging process of your roof when they use pressure to clean. This opens up a new layer of the roof surface exposing more organic material for the algae to feed upon and destroy.

When you hire a non pressure roof cleaning company you must do your homework. Some
of these companies use very strong mixtures of pool chlorine or bleach. Make sure
